Come Help Us Introduce The Brown Homestead to St. Catharines!

On Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 10am to 4pm, the Brown Homestead will be participating in Doors Open St. Catharines, an event where local heritage treasures are open to the public free of charge. While JBHF has made many solid and fruitful relationships since its inception in late 2015, this will be our first official introduction to the public!

For a community organization like JBHF, Doors Open provides a fantastic opportunity to meet the people we hope to partner with and to serve. Along with food, drink, fun and tours, we plan to have visual explorations of past projects, and information about our plans for the future. There will also be two heritage trade demo’s at the Homestead that day, both a traditional window repair and reglazing, and a contemporary demonstration of augmented reality and its uses in heritage sites!

Volunteers are needed to help us make this special event all that it can be! The only qualification required is your desire to build new friendships and to help us celebrate the Brown Homestead and introduce JBHF to St. Catharines! You don’t need special skills, you don’t even have to know what to say. All you need to do is get on board! Training will be provided.

For more information and to sign up, call or email our Project Coordinator, Theresa Felicetti. Please include both your phone number(s) and email address.
