Site Maintenance & Restoration Volunteers
Help us take care of the oldest home in St. Catharines!
The Brown Homestead is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and stewardship of several historic structures, including the John Brown House, the Norton Cabin, and two 1850s outbuildings: a dairy and a smokehouse.
Our Restoration team requires assistance with maintenance and restoration projects, with lots of opportunity for volunteers to learn heritage restoration practices. Site Maintenance & Restoration Volunteers will be able to lift heavy objects, be comfortable with tools and manual labour, and won’t mind heights.
What to Expect
This role is on an as-needed basis. Site Maintenance & Restoration Volunteers can expect to volunteer as opportunities arise, usually with a project once every few months.
