Merry Makers: Children’s Workshop

Children are invited to craft holiday decorations inspired by different Christmas traditions spanning the eras of the John Brown House.

Cost: By donation (non-perishable food items encouraged)
Space is limited, pre-registration required
Families are invited to The Brown Homestead for a morning or afternoon of historical holiday crafting. With the house decorated for the holidays, visitors will discover a different craft to make their own in each room, and learn how Christmas was celebrated by the families who lived here over 220+ years.
A hot chocolate and cookie station will also be available for families to enjoy.
Pre-Registration is Required.
The Brown Homestead team will confirm your registration via email. Registration is first come, first-served.
Donations Welcome
Donations of non-perishable food items to Community Care of St. Catharines and Thorold are always encouraged at this annual event!

Hot Cereal
Saltine Crackers
Kraft Dinner
Canned Meats, Fish, Stews, Chili, Pasta, or Fruit
Personal Products - Soap, Toothpaste, Deodorants, etc.
Accessibility
Please note that the John Brown House is undergoing continued restoration work and is currently not wheelchair accessible. The outdoor washroom facilities and second storey of the house are accessible by stairs only.
