Package Inclusions: Get Exclusive Access to our Historic Site

Our historic rooms will be fully decorated for the holiday season, giving photographers access to four distinct backdrops spanning Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian and 1950s-inspired Christmas décor.

For $150, photographers receive exclusive use of the Homestead for a three-hour booking, including setup and takedown time. Move between the decorated rooms, bring your own props, and capture beautiful holiday portraits in an authentic historic setting. Please note we have limited furniture so you may want to bring your own or come by for a site visit before booking to assess your needs.

Dates are limited. Photographers are responsible for booking and managing their own clients.

Four Unique Holiday Photo Settings

Your three-hour booking includes exclusive access to four fully decorated spaces at The Brown Homestead, each reflecting a different period in the home's history. Photographers are welcome to move between rooms throughout their booking and use multiple settings for their sessions.

Georgian Dining Room

Step into a warm, natural Georgian-inspired Christmas setting featuring fresh greenery, garlands, dried fruit, pinecones, candles and seasonal décor. A small tabletop traditional Christmas tree and beautifully decorated fireplace mantel complete the setting.

Comfortable for groups of approximately 15 - 20 people
Fireplace is non-functional; the decorated mantel is available for photographs

Georgian Summer Kitchen

The Summer Kitchen offers a rustic and atmospheric holiday setting, decorated with fresh greenery and natural seasonal elements. The large cooking hearth provides a particularly unique backdrop and can be lit for an additional fee, with a staff member present to safely monitor the fire.

Victorian Parlour

Our Victorian Parlour offers a more traditional and elegant Christmas backdrop, with fresh greenery, festive ribbons, candles, Victorian-inspired stockings and toys, and a large decorated Christmas tree.

Comfortable for approximately 6–8 people
Fireplace is non-functional and decorated with logs for aesthetic purposes
Christmas tree is decorated but does not have lights

Mid Century Inspired Ballroom

For a more colourful and nostalgic holiday look, the Ballroom is decorated to reflect the Edwardian and post-war history of the Homestead, with a particular focus on a cheerful 1950s Christmas.

The space features a large Christmas tree, colourful lights, tinsel, paper chains, holiday postcards, fresh greenery and colourful mantel decorations.

Fireplace is non-functional

Outdoor Photography

Photographers are also welcome to use the grounds surrounding the Homestead for outdoor portraits during their booking. The front of the house will have simple seasonal décor, while the historic exterior and surrounding grounds provide additional opportunities for photographs.

Yes pets are part of the family and well behaved pets are welcomed into The Brown Homestead for a photo session. Pets must be kept on leash and we ask that pets nails be trimmed to prior to the session to mitigate any damage to the floors.
Yes, photographers are welcome to bring in their own props and decor items to add to the sets. We kindly ask that you do not remove any of our decor and that you remove all your decor at the end of the session
The three hour time booking is what you have available to you for set-up, your photography sessions and take down.
You will be the only photographer in the house for the duration of your booking time, you can set-up in one room or move from room to room.
Of course! In your booking form please indicate if you would like to set-up a time to tour and we will follow-up to schedule a site visit.
