Tonight: Shepherds in the Cave

We are excited to announce that this evening, JBHF's Project Manager, Theresa Felicetti, will be speaking at the St. Catharines Performing Arts Centre Film House, following the 7pm showing of the film "Shepherds in the Cave." She will be discussing her experience with The Fornello Project, an extraordinary and progressive cultural and culinary heritage conservation project in Puglia, Italy.

Theresa attended the Fornello Project for the first time several years ago while she was also a student at the Willowbank School of Restoration Arts. Realizing that the project was the embodiment of the progressive approach to heritage sites taught by Willowbank, she introduced the two organizations and initiated a partnership between them. Messors (the group running the Fornello project) paid her to return to Italy the following summer to assist in the establishment of that partnership, and she was the one who drew up the Memorandum of Understanding. We couldn't be prouder of her.

If you are able to attend the film and discussion, we would love to see you there! To further entice you (or even if you can’t join us), please take a look at Theresa's terrific article on the American Anthropological Association blog.

Have a great day!
